@Powdermonkey09 I have seen it used on passenger planes, but the F16 doing that with full afterburner is so loud it sets off car alarms. Be cool to see one do that at a commercial airport.

That was a short field take off. A high performance take off consist of flying in ground effect down the runway till you've reached speed then you abruptly pull up a similar procedure is used for noise abatement.

@JTMarlin8 not sure on exact length of the takeoff run, but here in Oregon the air national guard has a squadron of F-15 and yes their max performance takeoffs are EXTREMELY short..

I love the roar of a fighter jet sometimes they fly over my house it's way louder then passenger jets.

@kell490 Yes, fighter jets are awesome. I remember enjoying F-4 Phantoms screaming by at low altitude during NATO exercises in the 1980s... Good times ;)

The F-15 has an even shorter takeoff roll.
Both planes use the exact same engines, but the F-15 has two of them and only weighs 50% more.

@JTMarlin8 Maybe. You also have to take into account takeoff speed.
I've never seen an F-15 doing a maximum performance takeoff, so I don't know, but I think this was quite impressive :-)

Yes, It's quite impressive, but keep in mind that it's only carrying internal fuel and no payload at all ;)
