My Standardbred gelding Walk The Line ("Johnny") and I in the Beginner Adult Hunters at the 2010 CVPHA Classic Horse Show. This video shows our first trip and then second trip in the ring. Last year at this same show, we couldn't even get around the ring because he was so spooky, this year, we made it both time! He was REALLY looky in the first trip, so we trot a lot of fences and it's kind of awful, but we pulled it together a little more in the second trip and he cantered almost all of the jumps! Our last courtesy circle to finish is totally my fault and looks terrible...I thought he was going to give me a simple change and keep cantering and when he didn't I made the mistake of trying to run him into it, which clearly didn't work lol. Oh well! He was SUCH a good boy and I'm so proud of him! We even made the numbers down the lines in the second trip!
Clearly, hunters is not Johnny's calling...this horse really wants to be a jumper but we are spending a year in the hunter ring first so he can learn before he moves on to the jumpers.
Walk The Line is a 1993 Standardbred gelding. He is being re-trained from a harness horse and has been under saddle for a little over a year now.
He looks great Kate!

Hehe thanks Emily! He def. wants to be a jumper but the jumpers at most shows around here don't go low enough for him, so we do it when the height is under 2'6" but otherwise we do the hunters. lol its good for him to learn!
