I did a shootout test for my blog at the Detorit Free Press (www.freepress.com/wendland) on the Garmin nuvi 760 ($749.99), the Magellan Maestro 4250 ($499), the OnStar turn-by--turn Navigation service for GM vehicles ($299 for a year's service) and VZ Navigator, a $9.99 a month or $2.99 a day GPS system that works with the Verizon Wireless Phone service.

  • On Star?????? Are you serious or are you just joking? I think your joking cause it is the worst. Its like going back to using an operator to make phone calls. Who wants to call an operator if you can do it yourself? Sure its personalized, but what's next, calling an operator to turn your thermostat up. Not happening.

  • One of the HAWTest tech . . .

    LMAO

  • FAGGIT

  • The OnStar one is an excuse for GM to NOT put a real GPS unit in their cars. Finally we are starting to see real GPS units built into GM cars though.

  • Nextar is pure fucki shit.....totalc rap as the scots say

  • Excellent comparo. Very nicely done. I'll stick with my most awesome NUVI 760

  • Yes it is,

I like Garmin and Tom Tom.

I have the Garmin Nuvi 760 and it's awesome.

  • lol at the comment delsolsea

  • That's just an issolated example your a dumb ass!

  • Garmin is better than Magellan!

  • I Have VZ Navagator. It's great I use it all the time. It's much more than just a navagator. The newest version will search for gas prices near you and then you can pick where you want to go... I don't know about any other GPS's but I use mine like a 411 info. Lets say I need the number to a pizza place to make a order to pick up. I just search "pizza" and it will give my options of venues along with the phone number. also any traffic issues that might be on the way. A++ Verizon !

  • really, my mom had a suburban and whenever we talked to someone to give us directions it was some foreign lady who almost sent us to texas instead of a resturant in our jacksonville location, then we got a lemon law on it because the car was a fucking piece of shit anyways!
