Amazing to think modern Gibson F5 Mandolins are 5 freaking times as expensive as their Les Paul Standards. Classic music ain't no poor mans' game.

That is a mandola, It is twice the size of a mandolin. It does sound very good tho, no doubt about it :)
-
@jawsrocks yes but i prefure useing a mandolin pick beause they are thicken and easier to pick fast.

WOW YOU SOLD THAT ????????????

Remarkable sound on that mandolin! I guess that was the last year of "The Gibson" on the headstock-- went to the "Gibson" like the Sam Bush's Hoss I guess after that? Anyway what tone from that mando -- nothing wrong with a 30's Gibson F-5 I'd say!

wow that's a big mandolin!!!
-
@rmayes3 Why don't you have it anymore? You crazy?
-
Unless you are very small, to my eye that looks like a mandola as opposed to a mandolin.....?????David

This mando was passed down from my dad. He bought it in 69 for 1K. I don't have it anymore. Wish I did.

It's just improv. I wanted to show the capabilities of the instrument.
