  • So tell me, do THESE ppl bcome enlightened after they fall from their swirling? i doubt it. Rumi was only a poet...why copy wat he did and make it a ritual? REAL Sufism is not like this. Nor is Islam. And Sufism IS a sect of Islam the poster of this video doesnt have to say that. this swirling to music looks like plain bid3aa. dont get me wrong, im a Hanafi Muslim training to be an Imam in a couple years, i love Sufism. this....this is not Sufism

  • @MookieDaCookie You will not be able to produce a legitimate meditation technique that guarantees enlightenment after doing it. But if ONE person, Rumi in this case, attains enlightenment with a technique, then it is a door for others as well. Rumi was a poet, Kabir was a shoe maker, God can make his home in anyone, their profession does not matter.

  • Can you pls tell what kind of meditation is this?

  • @aherrns The SEMA meditation lasts app. 45 minutes. Rumi, the man who discovered the efffects of whirling, did it for a long time. He simply started whirling, and whirled for 36 hours continuously, after which he fell down enlightened.

  • crazy... sufism is not islam!!!

  • @Bilal011uz et al:

The poster of this video never said sufism is islam. I was thinking that a discussion of this nature would evolve for this video, and allowed it up till now. Following this set of comments about the prophet and what is and what is not islam, there will be no more comments allowed about the subject. That discussion has nothing to do with this video nor the reason it is posted here.

  • @Quran871 Rumi's enlightenment (from whirling, the origin of this meditation) is neither better nor worse than the prophet's door to wisdom, or his sahabas. But it is different. Different does not mean better or worse, but many times we want to cast it that way.

  • Since when do Sufi's censor comments?

  • @4transform Thank you for setting Mookie straight. Couldn't have said it better. We're all different. Sufis love music, and I love Sufis for that reason.

  • This is so dumb...

  • I'm not a Sufi but I perform this dance because I think it's actually is good for meditation. I consider this the dance of Islam

  • @4transform There are many paths to the Master... .and there are many paths to the One Creator, the I Am that I Am.... all are valid, we must each find our own way. In my culture, one dances to drums and flutes until one finds that place within from which the music comes. The Ghost Dancers did the same. They were dancing the world back in order... holding the sky up... so that one day the old ways would return. I think it does return a little, but then who am I but a simple woman. *smile*

  • How do they not throw up when they stop?

  • SPIN TO WIN

  • @createallow3126 Nicely put. Much respect.
