Beware of the latest threats that are created in your recycle bin, and executed each time you restart/ start your computer. The only way of protection is to empty recycle bin each time you turn Off/ or Restart your computer. You can Automate this process by using the freeware CCleaner

hey i tried to check in c:\ for $Recycle.bin in Vista but i couldnt able to find it... pls help me. i recentled got this virus $RECYCLE.BIN so reformated again. now for precaution i am trying to stop it. because its still their in my external hard drive

it could be C:\Recycled for FAT
C:\Recycler for NTFS in windows XP
and C:\$Recycle.bin in Vista

if you click on Options > Include > Add Folder
you will see a explorer box, where you can select C:\Recycler folder

I believe you are supposed to download the latest version of ccleaner. I think you are using a different version of ccleaner.
