Here are some shots of replica Lugosi Dracula Rings we have sold over the years at The Haunted Studios. The original ring was worn by Lon Chaney JR, John Carradine, Bela Lugosi, and finally Forrest J. Ackerman. A somewhat simpler version of the ring was worn by Christopher Lee in a number of the Hammer Dracula films.

NO, there have been a number of replicas over the years and the QMX attempt is not shown here. QMX was never able to produce the full run of 1931 rings, some have the estimate of their production at under 300. The design is complex and difficult to produce in quantity even with today's techniques. It is really best as a one off.

In the movie it showed him being buried with his cape and the ring, but it was inaccurate, so my Aunt set them straight hahaha. All great magicians and artists are buried with their capes :) My Uncle was buried in his Dracula outfit/cape, but I'm currently doing research on my family history, so if I find out anything I'll post a video on Youtube. I'd love to learn more about him in addition to my great Uncle Jack.

The original ring was given to my great Uncle Jack Baker (the original Dr. Silkini). They were friends and coworkers during my great Uncle's production of the Asylum of Horrors. As far as I know my great Aunt Margie currently has it, but she may have given it to a museum or something. :)

So there was an original ring in this Hollywood Line of Descent. Where then might it be? Or has ubiquity taken its toll on posterity?

That photo is of part of my collection. The boks, figurine and rings in my possession as of 2005, when I sold the Dimensional Designs ring shown. The Bat ring is about 70 years old. I put it in my display, as I am told Lugosi had a similar novelty ring during the 1930's.

I wish that Mr.Ackerman's "Count Dracula"that he got from
Mr.Lugosi didn't have to be sold like a toy to a collector. It should be in a proper museum.
