This is an interview of Vikas Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director of Harbinger Group. Vikas was interviewed by Zee Business for its program called Swadesh. This program is about Indians who have lived and worked abroad for sometime but have then returned to their own land and started their own business.




Vikas Joshi is passionate about making our lives more effective through interactivity. His vision has inspired a global market for interactivity software. As founder, Chairman and Managing Director at the Harbinger Group, he leads an international organization building cutting-edge technology products and services.

Thousands of trainers, presenters, web designers and other dialog creators worldwide rely on Harbingers award-winning products for engaging users more effectively.

Recognized as a thought leader in interactivity, Vikas has spearheaded Harbingers leadership in that space. Harbinger has also emerged as a provider of software product development services to several technology companies including Microsoft.

Vikas Joshi's leadership at Harbinger has resulted in groundbreaking product innovations. One of his patent-pending inventions led to Raptivity, the worlds first rapid interactivity builder, which makes e-learning, presentations and websites engaging and fun. Other products include YawnBuster, aimed at enhancing audience involvement; TeemingPod, a social interaction platform; Elicitus Content Publisher and Offline Content Player.

After IIT Bombay, where he completed his B.Tech., Vikas got his MS from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY on a Graduate Fellowship, working on artificial intelligence. Vikas enjoys creative reflection on work and life through his writings and speeches on learning, technology innovation and entrepreneurship. His book Strategic e-Learning Mantras distils the best practices in corporate e-learning into a handy guide. He lives in Pune, India and hangs out in the Silicon Valley a few months every year.
