The 6-foot-3, 155 pound southpaw was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2003 out of baseball hot bed Bani in the Dominican Republic. Arias went 12-4 with a 5.37 earned run average in 26 appearances with advanced Single-A Inland Empire in 2007. He struck out 95 batters in 128 and 2/3 innings.
