Becoming a monk does not rid one of his passions and interests. On the contrary, being a monk gives one more freedom to purchase them along his spiritual development, because he is free from family commitments. I would say that a monk is to live a life of modesty, not poverty. I know some monks and lamas who work but their income is dedicated to helping others - I think it is highly commendable.

Computer - brain works on Dualistic basis:
consciousness and subconsciousness
The neurons of brain create these two levels
So, that means consciousness and
subconsciousness from physical point of view,
as interaction between billions and billions neurons
It can only mean that the states of neurons in these two
situations are different
How to understand these different states of neurons ? etc
To change our illusory consciousness is possible by Meditation

it is the same all ignorant pattern of comments after every video. there is a huge gap between freedom of speech and the capacity to formulate intelligent speech. i am certain that all those criticizing Ricard are mediocre with no significant accomplishments of their own. of course, they would argue that their existence alone is their contribution. incidentally, read "The Quantum and the Lotus" to see how capable Ricard is, shut the blip up! and make your silence your best contribution.

I think we have to leave our idea of how a monk should be and just let them be as they are...They are persons too.
Matthieu is committed in a lot of projects nowadays, but those things reached him when he stopped to look for any kind of reward...
That's the difference between an endless pursuit and letting go....
