@jas71188 - Sometimes AEAE, or even AEAC#, can be used. - In the tune Mamou 2 step as played above it's a standard tuned GDAE fiddle, fisrt part, sounds like the "turn" or B part to me, and a part in D.
QUESTION: Is Cajun music played with cross tunning? I haven't been using crros tunning because it's a pain in the ------. You wind up having to have 2 fiddles with you. Seems to me you can accomplish what you need to in regular tunning. Am I right or wrong on this one? Thanks!

Is the turn sometimes played in a different key? I know A & B close enough, but my B is someplace else- haveta' go play to remember where ;)

Thanks! I was tryin to find a decent fiddle version. I thought the BPM was about 175but this is a slower version. I think I like the slow one.
