@MeeBooh the term is from the sport of cricket. in cricket matches, one team plays first until either they are all out or a particular number of overs have been bowled. this is called an inning. then the second team plays. in test matches, each team plays more than one time and each time they play, it is called an inning. having a good inning means she did well in her life (in cricket it would mean that the team made a good score (runs)).
