@marchjan before the princess gina stuff days was well written but after that they slacked off big time.

I'm sorry but this storyline was too cartoonish.

omg, back in the day; days was freaking awesome...mj was was Great. when was last time days was this well written?

@counterculture This was during James E. Reilly's first tenure as headwriter (92-97). Days consistently ranked 2nd in the ratings during this time only behind Y&R. I remember the listings in the SOD's back then. Y&R averaged anywhere between 7.0-8.0 and Days was always over 6.0. Today Y&R is just over 3.0 and B&B over 2.0, while everyone else averages 1.5-1.8 it seems. I also remember Joe Mascolo saying once that JER was the last headwriter to truly understand the character of Stefano.

Slowest execution EVER. And I've always wondered how John's hands were magically unchained after the first attempt. LOL.

This was during the brilliant James E. Reilly's tenure as headwriter. Days was number 2 behind y&r

Out of curiousity, what were the ratings like during this storyline and does anyone remember the buzz about it, either positive or negative?
I only ask because if stuff like this were to air today, I know for a fact everyone would love it.
i never understood after they told each other they loved each other that it wasn't talked about more when they got back to salem.

@tscotwv Every new writer that comes in the door should be made to understand these characters' histories and lineage, not rewrite them to their liking.
