This is our fifth meet of the season and it was a fairly good one for some of us, mixed results for others... Me, I busted out a 4-foot PR on my third throw with the weight, hitting 13.90m and missing the DIII New England qualifier by less than a foot. It was good enough to get me into finals with a 7th place finish. Consistency was great too, as four of my throws were over my old PR of 12.58m. I also took 13th in shot with a very mediocre throw of 12.04m. Bryan won the weight by about 3 inches with 17.34m. It was a close competition but he managed three throws over 17m. Just a little off his PR, but the consistency is dramatically improving. In shot, he took 8th place with 13.46m in a rather lackadaisical effort. Drew failed to reach the minimum of 35ft in weight, but did so in shot for 17th place with 10.93m. Gretchen had a bit of a mediocre day in weight after a PR last week, only managing 9.68m for 23rd place. Bryanna hit 11.43m in shot, slightly below her season's best, which tied her for 5th but she was pushed down to 6th by virtue of second best throw. Katherine and Chelsea failed to hit the minimum for weight and shot respectively, so despite having fair throws, they ended with no distance. Much of a mediocre (not to be redundant) outing for everyone, but at least Bryan and I had a good day in the weight throw. Practice is looking good though, so hopefully we'll see some improvements soon. Next week: Tufts Indoor Stampede!

Hahahah wow that guy kept getting in the way of us when we were trying to film. There's like one frame where his face is perfectly in focus and he has the sketchiest look on his face. Never would've guessed he was Adam's coach, but he did go to Dartmouth so I guess it makes sense.
