Concert organist Gunnar Idenstam Grand Prix de Chartres in improvisation plays the end of Ravel Bolero (Arr. Idenstam) live from Fagerborg International Organ Festival 2009 Oslo, Norway http://www.idenstam.org
As always a stunning performance by Gunnar Idenstam. A true master of the concert organ. Never thougt Bolero would work so well on just a church organ but Idenstams music genius seems to do it again and again with pieces I never thought of. Bravo! Splendid! Excellent!
@EccentricRichard Mr. Idenstam has played this faster, but this is actually the right tempo!!!!! You do not know what is bolero -rythm about!

Oh, and maybe it's just this recording, but the pedal reed completely obliterates the rest of the organ...

Too slow, too slow! 50% faster and then we can talk...

Very well played! Respect!
But please, give us this video in better quality, it deserves it! :)

Definitely weird, but most definitely awesome -- it just works so well, especially the very end.
