nope, i had a mk2 golf 1.6 driver with 2.0 gti rear discs, start a wheelspin, full lock, rip the handbrake up and off u go, no trays needed! mk2 golfs r awesome :-)
although i just noticed that this one is a 4x4 cuz all wheels spinning, but u can do this in a fwd golf!

What it is is he has a set of trays that he rolls on to and sets his ebrake we used to use ether the plastic MC Donalds trays or the metal lunch room trays then you just smash the gas and turn the wheel and hold on for dear life!...but it was hella fun!
