This chamber opera Fahrenheit 451 by Brenton Broadstock is based on the famous novel by Ray Bradbury and was staged the first time at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn as a co-production of the chamber opera of northern westfalia (kammeroper nrw) and the opera Bonn.
This opera is very special because of the music which comes from a music tape (disc) and the conductor has to conduct via timecode. The room at the Bunddeskunsthalle was very special too because of having a dolby surround cinema system. Also the stage director Ralph Goertz puts this opera as a two dimensional animation on stage. Markus Lüpertz was the congenial stage and costume designer who made also all the costumes and stages/paintings in two dimensional.
