FWIW - I pay close attention to expectations of the mind in my graphical presentations. I think our minds also "prioritize" our interests quickly when new visual stimulation is presented.
At 2:47 I was prepped for a "focal point" and saw the entire volcano scene, but looked at its peak, then the English text and then the Kana(?) in the top left. I realized that I "saw" all of it and then scanned it.
Just my thoughts, and this is a good video :)
