Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 - August 11, 1956). "On the floor I am more at ease, I feel nearer, more a part of the painting, since this way I can walk around in it, work from the four sides ...

Pollock managed to paint what was un-sayable. Bravo to him.

sounds like he's ejaculating with paint. Sort of self indulgent don't you think?

That's a short cut to thinking. Do you know anything about the man? What's with the anti-American shit? Bush really fucked us up in the worlds eyes. Don't forget, we have Ginsberg, Faulkner, Fitzgerald...etc. Art shouldn't be a debate on nationalism, it should be the bridge between.

I would not call it barf. Thing is, most people think Jackson Pollock became famous because of his approach of painting (I dislike the word "style"). The reality is, Jackson Pollock was at the right place at the right time, just like Andy Warhol. If it was not for Life Magazine, no one outside of Unites States would have known Jackson Pollock at all! Remember: research first then critiquing.

Douche? You don't even know me, nor do I know you. However, I study Fine Arts at York University and volunteer as a high school student teacher. I know my material but what ticks me off is when some individual, who has nothing better to do then complain on YouTube, decides to offend an artist who was well known. Like I mentioned before: "research first then critiquing!"
