@sauce44me My MOS was 1371 which was titled Combat Engineer in the Marines. When I went to school to learn my MOS at Court House Bay in Camp Lejeune I was taught that it was in fact C4 contained within the blocks of the line charge. Composition B is mostly used in rockets, land mines, hand grenades, artillery and various other munitions but it is NOT used in the type of line charge shown in this video.
@kaze960 i'm a combat engineer.. its 700 blocks.. 2.5 lbs per block of c4.. thats unless the info from engineer course and eta 3 instructors are wrong.. i guess they're not always right
i guess no one is a real combat engineer, because a real engineer would know that they don't use C-4 and that it is actually composite-B which is slightly different then C-4
sorry to inform you but i am a combat engineer and i can tell you that only 1.25 LBS per brick.....so, learn your facts before you decide to insult someone
luckycharmsyummy: Unfortunately there's been numberous training deaths at 29 Palms. It's bound to happen though because MOST of the training there involves live fire exercises. There was even one death in particular that didn't involve live fire about 20 years ago. A Marine somehow got lost in the vast area around the Delta Coridor area and succumbed to the elements.
Thanks for the history lesson who cares about being exact. Awesome video I heard about a line charge that had an air det on top of an aav in 29 palms killed the whole crew. Yat YAs forever
