Well if anyone finds a vendor with a Drummer at a good price I would love to get a PM on it. Best I have seen is $995 before shipping...which seems like a lot for a can and connector pipe. I've found HMF and Jardine slip ons for $400 or less.

Can you tell us the torque numbers?

BHP vs WHP...
I am hearing some popping at set throttle speeds...is that an audio glitch or is the bike misfiring? The pipe sounds pretty good to me.

@CyberDruidtheModGod Not sure, the audio quality on this file blows, it was recorded in only 15 fps on a VGA cam with primitive mic. The Buells pop a bit when fully hot at lower throttle positions usually here in the Texas heat.

That makes sense. Thank you for the reply. I am still trying to wrap my mind (or wallet rather) around spending a $1000 on myself so close to Christmas lol.

@CyberDruidtheModGod if the $1000 is for this pipe I would pass, you can make a pipe like this from parts bought at Pep Boys for less than $100 if you are the creative fabricator type. Hell one of my buddies bought a Dutch made full system recently for less than that, now that the brand is dead the parts are freaking cheap and getting "blown out" by vendors.

True, most manufacturers do quote a "crank" number which is impossible to obtain on most motorcycle engines since they designed and built "in unit" with the transmission an integral part of the engine. Belt drive looses only about 2% from the sprocket to the wheel and chain about 4% where shaft is closer to 6% in final drive losses. Basically most manufacturers dramatically overstate bhp to increase sales, much like the speedo error built into Busa's, it makes the owner "feel" the bike is fast

Factory Pro Dyno reads about 15-17% lower than the more common Dynojet dynos, but manufacturer's always over promise and under deliver on claimed bhp and under promise and over deliver on weight. Aprilia for example claims 139 bhp on the stock RSVR, it puts about 108 bhp to the tire dead stock on my dyno. For perspective, dead stock GSXR 1000's are in the 132-134 bhp range, not the 162-168 seen in magazines. I dynoed Ducati's WSBK engines from the last of the 998RS bikes, true bhp 150 at tire
