Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last 44 years, shows how you can fix your car's brakes when they pull to one side when braking. It's a lot easier than you might think checking it out.

  • This is why i get a mechanic to fix my car, because its a pain in the fuckin ass.

  • @blarson12 BUT, we mechanics get lots of money fixing em, and many people like to save money. Or, don't even have much money to spend in the first place.

  • @scottykilmer So your point is?

  • @blarson12 that's why I make these videos to make it easier for people to fix their own, you should take a course in inferring.

  • hey scotty, what if the brake lines aint clogged, that was the first thing i checked on my chevy suburban. the wheels pull to the right slightly. i had the alignment done and the only problem was it being out of camber. the wheels still pull

  • @tomtrek1986 then odds are the callipers are bad and sticking IF the alignment was done correctly.

  • @916MustangRacer Ah, it could also be tons of other things too. Wise Acre. I just went and stopped when I fixed this particular car. Get a life jack, make your own videos if you think you're so wise. Then I can comment on what you didn't talk about.

  • @hafizi5689 generally just buy a rebuilt calliper assembly, they cost so little these days, it beats trying to rebuild em yourself. Let the chinese dudes do the hard work, stuff costs so little that way.

  • These videos are the best.

  • i use lucas too its good stuff, Scotty i didnt see any jack stands under that car. Please use them before you get under there.

  • Scotty you should mention safety more in your videos, I really like them but I've noticed you don't mention things like how brake fluid eats paint, so be careful around it, and to keep a bucket handy when draining as it's horrible for the environment. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks Scotty your a life saver man! My dog chewed off my rear driver side break hose and both the filler hoses from my 97 Ford explorer and I really needed some refreshing on how to swap the hoses and bleed the breaks :) I'm jut hoping my breaks will have a bleeder screw and I won't have to use on of those suction kits :) thanks a million! Your videos actualy make a difrence trust me
