I need to get a new computer I'm using my iPod :p anyway it actually looks almost realist oh almost forgot thin layer of foam under the tape for smaller shields cardboard will work fine but if you want bigger shields me and some friends actually just found a broken table top and got a cool cover for it and you can use cardboard for some armor to though if you want a cool effect the styrofoam netting fro

try using some PVC pipes you can get some awesome shape (I prefer to use a short sword or staff so it doesn't much matter but me and my friends were able to make battle axes quarter staves and all kinda stuff) then you just cover it with duct tape from a distance and
