  • There should be a workshop for those who are thinking about going into the music industry to prep them in all aspects of management. It breaks my heart to hear and to see gifted talent destroyed because of being to trusted and innocently ignorance. I need your input please.

  • @vrob1 I guess you're right. But nowadays, most of these new artists are already struggling just to get their music heard. Once they do and becomes the talk of the town, they start worrying about maintaining their popularity and not their longevity in this market. Really can't convince them to take BM classes before they go out in the real "dog eat dog" world! Peace man!

  • If I'm not misstaken, Linda Creed wrote the lyrics to this song. It sound so much like her material. I know Linda Creed, Phylis Hyman, Eloise were friends. This song take me back when I was stationed in Mildenhall AFB England..513th TAW from 76-1978.

man I had a blast. I can over there as not knowing what cards life was going to deal. but when I left, I matured as a man with great respect for a woman. To all the women who play a vital part in my life. Thank you so much .

  • @vrob1: you might be right but this cover version by Eloise was made popular by the Stylistics.

It's always great to know that men could be bent by music and feel the respect for women.

    All the best man!

  • @DustySoulLtd I listened to the Stylistics version of this song for the first time. I liked it.But I love Weezee's rendition. The first thing that grab you are the flowing strings intro. It seductively lure you in and mellow you out. What a flow....Priceless!!!!!

  • @vrob1 Linda Creed did penned this. Eloise told me herself. I so remember this during my teenage days working in Radio. I hosted the Sunday afternoon Jazz Segment. And I can tell you I had no idea what I was doing. I just played what the programmer told me to. KTRY AM FM

  • Linda, Linda, Linda. I missed you soo much. When you connect with song writer's style, you have a personal encryption in their style of writing, composing and orchestrating material for the choosen one to put the finishing touch to her gift. Me personally think Eloise Laws didn't get proper props just like a whole lot of gifted artists that were ahead of their times. Now Phylis Hyman, let me tell you, if you really want to end on a high note after a wonderful stella evening.Put on some Phylis ; )

  • I like the Stylistics version of this song but Eloise is just incredible on this!

  • this woman can sing

  • @vrob1 you are absolutely right. lyrics by the IMMORTAL LINDA CREED
