Why not? I mean, it's Final Fantasy X.


--No, I mean...why Final Fantasy X?

Well, this game practically *sold* the PS2 system when it first launched back in 2001. I mean, it was *the* PS2 game you *had* to own if you wanted to be considered as a serious PS2 gamer. Sure, other great games came out for the PS2 (such as the Ace Combat games, for example), but *nothing* could even *hope* to compare to FFX.

--Not even Kingdom Hearts?

--Wait a minute, pump the breaks here. How did FFX *sell* the PS2?

Well, the (important) cut-scenes are *amazingly* rendered, even by today's high standards, and practically push the PS2's graphics to the max *and then some.* The storyline is very detailed and in-depth, and the cast of characters develop pretty well over the course of the game. The battle system also works rather smoothly.

The only real downsides are the camera angles (which sometimes feel *very* awkward) and the controls (which also feel kinda funky).

Then there's the sphere grid...oh *God,* the sphere grid. It allows you to level up the characters in the manner of your choosing, but holy *crap* is it *HUGE* and ungodly to navigate. There's *so many* combos you can try.

--Ok, so it's a pretty good game. What else?

Well, there's also tons and tons and *tons* of loot. you can find, as well as god-knows-how-many sidequests you can take on while playing the main quest.

I'll try to do as many sidequests as I can so that there's variety to the game, but remember, most of the people watching wanna see me do the main storyline.

Oh God, *yes.* That way everything will run smoother than me playing without.
