Cedar Creek Frog hop 0001

Upper Cedar Creek, Same Creek as the famous Cedar Creek Falls, just upstream a ways. Please see precautions at the end!!!!
Half of the Summer of 2007 was spent in a series of hearings with the CPUC, SDG&E, and a number of enviros, in proving/determining, confirming if you rather, than SDG&E's proposed Sunrise Powerlink would
a) double or triple in size,
b) head north to other markets near Los Angeles and beyond.
Long story short, that , almost by definition, could very easily place it ripping up everything in this video. Currently this is a proposed Federally protected Wilderness, and Wild and Scenic River by Senator Barbara Boxer and the California Wild Heritage Coolition. It is is Congressman Duncan Hunter Jr.'s District. He has gone on record opposing the Sunrise Powerlink in its many versions. Yes, Duncan Hunter, environmentalist and patriot! I hope you will agree this is not an appropriate location. In the final round EIS (environmental impact statement) the issue was skirted by relableing the northern expansion as the southwest expansion at the very back of a 10 volume (54 pound) EIS. In this way the full plan did not receive a full EIS. Sooo Sorry for the bad news. Someday I want to post this with no concerns attached. There is an additional movement of sorts to encourage the Forest Service to reevaluate some of their burning practices. After the witch fire this canyon was allowed (to some degree?) to burn rather surgically through the forest held territory. Hopefully science will bare out a logical solution without too much added controversy. In my opinion , the Forest Servcie needs considerably, say tripple , the funding from the government to manage areas like these without additional monetary pressure just to survive.
