tfoster09, I think I did see a exempt sign so you're probally right.

There is nothing 'light' about that train

How fast is the speed of the road for cars and how many cars go by here? It would be dangerous to stop a school bus in the middle of the highway if theres a lot of cars and everybody is going 50mph.

Does that crossing have an exempt sign on the cantilever?

Yes, over in the lower to mid right side.

Why??? There is a lot of trains that cross that crossing, so why shouldn't school buses have to stop there?

Good question, actually. I would only have a guess as to why. The entire set-up, while a good idea, could've used better planning - I almost fell out of my seat when I heard that the woman in charge of this project lied about her credentials (see: she never made it past 3rd grade), and yet in all their wisdom METRO kept her on board and let her continue on. Personally it wouldn't surprise me if they think that the positioning of the crossbucks at the stoplights is their reasoning for exemption.
