Bing Futch performs "Journey of the Sorcerer" by The Eagles on a double-necked mountain dulcimer, using a cross-over technique to get additional notes. Tuning of far fretboard=DAD and tuning of close fretboard=CGG. The "additional" note on the close fretboard is a Bb to complete the minor walkdown begun on the far fretboard.

  • Kudos to you.

I mean really, you did something extraordinary here, and I salute you, good sir.

  • @Commodore4life Thank you, brother!

  • Could you play like 60s songs on the dulcimer? I would really want to hear someone play Pinball Wizard be The Who on it. :)

  • Search "Pinball Wizard" and "dulcimer" here on YouTube - you'll find it!

  • My god, man. A wonderful job, and a beautiful dulcimer! How much did that thing cost you?

  • Thanks! The one I'm playing there is a Clemmer - it cost $850. The one I play now is a Folkcraft, which retails for $2000 (see episode #121)

  • Nice!!!! Great job. Excellent performance. Many stars.

    Peace,

    Bobby

  • Great job, Bing. Fun use of those two tunings.

  • Awesome Man!!! 10/10!!

  • I can't believe someone actually did something like this! I'm eleven and I am so amazed by what people can do with this instrument. This is telling that anything you can do on the guitar you can do on the dulcimer better!
