The Auster a great aeroplane. Out run a Piper Cub any day. Here is an aircraft that can fly loaded at 45 kts. Usto fly VH-KSP a lot and Super Auto car VH-BYT. Wonderful bush aircraft

Done it many times myself, not as easy as it looks.
As for three pointers, they are preferred because that is the right way to land any tail dragger, the prop clearance on my 1947 was never a problem....

For an Auster landing, that's quite impressive.
