Non tamo piu was written when Tosti was in his early twenties and recovering from a serious illness. This may account for its nostalgic atmosphere. The bitter young romantic recalls bygone days of happiness. He asks: Do you will remember the day you met, your promises? That, mad with love, I followed you and that we loved each other. Then he taunts her: You are no longer my dream of love. I no longer want your kisses. I think of you no more. I dream of another. I love you no more .

This rendition left me weeping"--don't know why, just did (have to listen again, & again & ponder--left me almost "gutted" for want of a verb). Tx for posting so I am able to reflect on a v.v. "special" voice, left to recordings only but still there in an eternal way!
