Every piece of plastic ever made still exists today, and much of this plastic has traveled from our hands to our oceans. The most important thing you can do is use less plastic. Join the Blue movement and sign the plastic pledge at SaveMyOceans.com.

  • Someone should make a water bottle that degrades when in salt water for more than 24H's.

  • How about a plastic rocket ship and launch it into space and let the aliens deal with it!!

  • wait wait, are oceans are in a bad state for mainly corporate reasons, not because of plastic

  • Why are we here?

    PLASTIC, ASSHOLES.

  • @kratoslevit burning some plastics releases toxic fumes into the atmosphere. Very toxic and very carcinogenic. Not a real solution.

  • @botaborsi find somewhere that sells bio-degradeable bags. Maybe there is a paper bag alternative. If not, then there is room for entrepeneurs in your market!

  • Very simple! How about a plastic burning factory for all plastic? Does cherry picking from garbage help?

We can't use "less" plastic unless we are talking 0.5% less plastic. Where that logic help the overall objection?

  • I live in Germany, I just returned 60 plastic bottles and got 15€ for them. Every plastic bottle costs 25 euro cent and you can get this back by returning the container. The bottles than get recycled and the plastic reused. There's a machine with a scanner, the whole process took me less than 5 minutes and I had A LOT of bottles (collected in weeks). I put all the money I get back in a piggy bank and I have more than a 140€ by the end of the year. Whatever lobbies say this is a great idea.

  • @ChrisRokers Theres salt in the ocean so the bottles will depgrade into the ocean. I'm meaning that the degraded form of the bottles would have no harm on the ocean.
