@neilnhi this is SO true. what the hell, people? archery is archery. period.
there are different ways to approach it and different equipment but, damn, what is the point of hating within our own community?

Lol, whats with bows these days? Why does everyone use them? What advantages do these fancy bows have over regular ones? (By regular I mean regular wooden long bows or something like that.) The bows look a lot heavier than ones used long ago.

Fears of failure ? By adding a whole lot of aiming aids, and other aids, raiiiight.
I do archery as well, and with compounds - no aiming aids or other aids for me, I go old school.
Different tastes though.

@GWIFOT it's a stabilizer which lessens the movement on release, thereby increasing accuracy.
-
@Cstrife234 A mechanical release permits a single point of contact on the string instead of three fingers. This allows less deformity in the string at full draw and a more consistent release. This is primarily because the most successful types operate with positive pressure, whereas the conventional 'fingers' release is negative. The mental process of applying positive pressure tends to assist the archer to hold positive form overall, negative can lead to further negative effects.
-
@Cstrife234 The use of a release aid gives a more consistent release than the use of fingers on the string.

How much does it cost to be involved in this sport? I meant the shirt, gadgets, lens, rental of range, membership etc.
-
um......im pretty sure most decent archers with that sort of bow, plus a spotting scope could be just as good

@sirjimmybob69 I agree, they should have to make one with sticks and rabbit guts.
she must need to have a shorter draw length to accomodate for breasts

Draw length is not detirmined by the size of some bodies breasts, but by the length of the archers arms. To accomodate for larger breasts, maybe the archer would consider a shorter axle length on the bow. Any archer with breasts, (including men) will pull the string into the flesh of the breast, near to the armpit to avoid any string deflection that will accur if the string has to go around the breast. If the string goes around the breast, I can assure you it will be painfull!!

must be tough to align the bow to her body..she's still commanding the release isn't she neil?
