The album is a celebratory homage to Joyce's heroes, mentors and friends who have been amongst the greatest of Brazilian musicians.

The theme of the album is based around Gafieira - Brazilian ballroom/dancehall music, mostly jazz and samba played with lots of horns. The album contains a mix of styles, and the lyrics cover gossipy girl talk, to advice on broken relationships and rejoicing in the everyday, humanity, and the creative process. Joyce says: 'I love this album so much, it's maybe one of my favourites ever, along with Feminina, and Astronauta'.
