Uh, it's not a Bruce Cockburn "cover" — it's a traditional Christmas song. It's very, very old. You can't "cover" something that's in the public domain. You just perform it.

Very nice, good guitar work.

I used to teach this song to Grade 2 level students back in the days when no one cared about PC. I only wish could have accompanied them as well as you're playing now. Really nice recording. Thanks!

Very good cover. I posted a link on my facebook page. Keep up the good work.

Nicely done! Very faithful to the Cockburn original. I'm going to have to try this one myself.

Awesome, totally made my day. Love this song, and love your version. Thanks for the post.

Love this! Great guitar work, very clean and easy to listen. What chords are you using? I know it's in open D but i'd love to see a tab or just the chords listed so I could sound it out. Keep the songs coming!

@Icemank91 I guess the chords are D..A.G...D..A.G...D..G.Emin...D..Bmin..G..D.
I found it worked okay to just sort of play the bass notes for these chords on the 5th/6th strings over the open D ringing on the upper strings, as I've done here. You could flesh out the chords a bit if you wanted
