"What a concept!! Let's figure out what the wettest part of the U.S. is and then keep our 'never to be made again' historic aircraft on an outdoor parking lot there!!"

I am in the USA now but used to live in the UK. I used to work at a company at the end of the runway at Heathrow. When this plane took off and we were at the tail end all the computers in the building would flicker and the windows would shake real hard. An unforgettable plane! Simple awsome in design and really pushing the limits of passenger engineering of the time. I plan to go to seattle and get on board on last time.

Air travel is alot slower these days :(

i wonder why they didnt make new concordes when the old ones were getting too old to fly T_T

Very Nice! Very rich of Details I`ve never recognized before. It looks like the Concorde has tip - down - Flaps at the front of It`s wings (?). Perhaps she was never really profitable, but one of the most beautiful Aircrafts ever constructed. Also lot`s of Innovations, like f. E. the first Fly by wire - system, however, no long sentences, she is just and only a beauty, no difference, from which perspective she is spected.

I can't believe the way this is kept outside with not a single thing to shelter or at least shield it from the weather...... But my god what a plane! I would of loved to flown on this magnificent bird.

@jblsound13 I know, right? I wish they would bring Concorde inside. They HAVE the room across the street in the main hall. They should do it soon too.

Future rust bucket :(
shugabuns 7 months ago
@shugabuns That might be it. I might be too early with my warnings of erosion damage. The Museum must already be aware of the problems of rust and they feel there is plenty of time before it can no longer be restored. Is the "Future" far enough away? The plane is impressive looking out doors, but would be just as grand indoors.
