  • this is wrong ,to look at every word said. i enjoyed the documentary and learn a lot about the history of religion . if Constantine woundn`t have submitted to christianity,no one today would have head of Jessus. And he with the prists chosen the books that made. the Biblie. I know that is no heaven or hell and what i do on this earth is done by me and my principles rather than commanders set up by Constantine because he happend to be a king!

  • @OanaGreti What is wrong? Can you explain please?

  • Yes. there were other flaws as well. For example he says the Babylonian exile lasted 50 years, when in fact it was by all accounts 70 years. There is always going to be an issue with accounts. If the Christians claim Jesus as a descendent of David through Joseph and also acknowledge the virgin birth through Mary, then lineage is broken and this has of course raised conflicts within Christianity as to what all these terms may mean. Zwemer100, you are right to question the issues.

  • @nevskixx The lineage of Jesus is explained in two ways, which is ignored by many. It is connected to Joseph for the following reason, Joseph would have been in line for King of Israel, but the lineage was broken back in the days of the book of Kings. Joseph should have been King of Israel, but with the line being broken it went to the one who attained the throne by inheritance, which was Christ. That is why He is called, "King of the Jews"

The two geneaologies contrast because of this issue

  • I totally agree with you. Spot on. Although I'm not a Christian, I agree that he should have stated what the Christian believe in and mentioned after with words along the lines of "this is what the Christians believe in...". That IS what makes a good informative documentary. But what do we find? He deliberately states certain points in a very confident and clear way which makes them appear as fact. I found the entire program extremely one sided, almost to the point of comical.

  • @watisapotato I'm glad you see that. Thanks.

Really, the BBC should be made accountable to this question.

  • @Zwemer100 what is wrong is that when you look at every word, you are missing the context!

  • @Zwemer100 . Thank you for the explanation.
