I remember I designed a show once that was 30's gangsters, but most of the cast were women, so for one character I had her in pinstripe slacks, a corset made from a suit jacket with the lapels on the bustline, and to top it off, I made a belt that had the back half of a skirt attached. Like, a belt-skirt thing. I love the idea of suggesting more traditional femininity over a modern idea. ^_^ It's fun!

Nice job! I love it. I'm making a quilt using strips of frabric so I have a small bag of strip scraps that I'm saving for whatever. Well the whatever is going to be this Scrappy Bustle. Its a perfect project to use them up on. I cant wait to try this out. Thanks for sharing.
