yeah we all feel like doing this when our gf gets on our nerves. parked my clio in front of a fire truck last week..lol. No voilence towards women.

I guess the driver was on the phone. Funny to see the brake lights going on the car every now and again, not really much help!

Well at least he didn't flip

@tomburley no its not a recent thing. limiter should be set at 56mph but there are companys/drivers out there that disable them to reach higher speeds, just recently i was passed by a horsebox on A34 and i was doing 70. i had to do 80 just to pass him/her.

@JCapirote Since the car is pretty much intact if is clear that the truck didn't just hit it as the car pulled out in front of it. This had to have started at a very slow speed otherwise the car side would have been caved in extensively. A car is not likely to just drive across a trucks path on a major dual carriageway like the A1 so this had to have been staged for some reason - any speed above probably 10mph would have resulted in a solid impact that would have pushed the car over or away

@kidn3yb3an All that means is that he didn't need to lower the wheels (as is often the case for paved roads) - doesn't mean it wasn't loaded.

@cardoctor2k9 Is the electronic speed limiter a very recent thing in the UK (in the past couple of years)? Only I've followed and been followed by 14 wheelers way above 60mph plenty of times. I know they used to have the tachographs that showed average and peak speeds but they were never actually physically restricted.

Don't capture the truck driver, honk to him or go in front of him and try to stop him.
I always like to see the silver lining in these stories - in this case, the people inside the car are enjoying an exceptionally good fuel economy getting where they are going. :P

@foomacher
You reckon you're an HGV driver, and you cant tell his load is empty. His extra weight support wheels are raised. Nob end
