At work my Friend and I went outside (Greeley CO) we looked up at the clouds. The crazy thing was the lower clouds were heading west, the higher clouds were heading east. It was the weirdest thing to watch.
I'm in northwest part of Fort Collins and about 15 minutes before the tornado hit the skies were black here and i was thinking to myself "I've never seen the skies this dark during a storm". Crazy that a tornado was about to demolish poor windsor. I wasn't even in Windsor but I could still feel the mean winds and rain. I have never seen the clouds move so fast. Scary scary scary day.
yea out in wellington the clouds were almost as low as my 2 story house

it all had to do with the hot air and cold air forming a super cell. It had been really hot in colorado leading up to the tornado day.

We're in Erie and got mothball and gumball size hail too, but only for about 10 minutes!
