Exchange the word "proof" for the word "evidence" and you'd be right. It's irrational to believe in the absence of evidence.

You're open to the possibility that a god exists, but you're probably not open to the possibility that flying unicorns exist, and there's no reason to treat these two things differently. There's no evidence for either one.

The atheist "crusade" against religion, is really against the negative effects that ignorance has on the world we have to live in.

Religion is created in first place to teach something. Luckly all of them try to teach people to be better people.

I know worst of the people known in history did their stuff in the name of God & Religions, but this has nothing to do with the relegion in question.

Thats why i say attacking (like this video do in the eyes of ignorant masses) the bible (in this case) is jerk-like.

Wow. I'm looking at the comments, then at the cartoon, and I'm a little bewildered that people want to talk about religion, philosophy and volley insults and pile on repeated and overused arguments that give neither side any credibility that eventually degenerates into snarky commentary and angry insults laden with profanity like I've never seen, rather than simply just looking at the cartoon and laughing along with it.

It's a crazy contrast.

I was under the impression that the idea is, unless proof it exists of its authenticity, don't believe that "The sky is going to fall on your head".

However, Paul has explained many times in his letters that in the last days people would turn away from sound doctrine and find teachers to speak only what they want to hear. Even if it is lies.

Funny enough those days are in progress right now.
