At first I thought I wouldn't be able to get this video done on time since I was visiting my family in Colorado. It wasn't at the fact that I didn't have a chance at placing because of not making the video, I was actually upset at myself for simply not making the video, lol. I was glad that when I came home I still had just enough time and then put myself to work. ^^;

I was inspired by the aspen trees that are everywhere in Colorado, and by the color red when it came to making this drawing. I did make the drawing right before my trip, but having lived there most of my life I was thinking about the trees and was excited to see them again. I had to make this video original with no music and keep it under two minutes as well. I used my pen and Wacom tablet to make the handwriting( I really like the way it looks, I had never tried it before, and I love it), mixed up some green paint for the green screen effect (which I had never done before, so that was another first) The heart seen at the end is even traditional 2-D animation of mine that I inverted and messed around with.
