the announcer is annoying as fuck arcade and the ps2 version. I just want to shoot him dead cuz the other announcers from the older ddr games is not annoying and they dont constantly talk the WHOLE DAMN SONG like this fag on ddr x

It's a bug. The rate the announcer talks increases according to the bpm. I dounno if it's been fixed in the final build.

This machine was brand new, with the light towers and the card system. Were those other DDR X machines old cabinets with the new CD installed?

I hope there's still an option to turn off the announcer just like in the other DDR games, only cause this time it's REALLY annoying...

The internal system is probably the same, so I'm guessing yes. I would even suggest to tournament organizers to eliminate it for competitions.
