Luciano Pavarotti sings Recondita Armonia from Act I of Puccini's Tosca.

This is in significantly better quality than the other posting of it in my opinion.

This video really highlights the best of Pavarotti in my opinion - the smooth sound from top to bottom, the flawless and beautiful legato, perfect diction, great phrasing, ringing top notes and beautiful expression.

Yesterday, I watched a performance of Tosca in a German opera house. It was a marvellous evening. Wonderful singers. A truly intelligent and breathtaking staging. And yet, when listening to the music, I imagined how it must have been when Pavarotti sang these arias - I mean, live on stage in an opera house. Being with this voice in one room must have had something celestial.

You can  buy this dvd now- I have it and its priceless and I would recommend it to anyone who loves opera.

There are a number of tenors who sing this aria so wonderfully: Corelli, etc. But this is my personal favorite version. Pavarotti's voice was wonderful for Cavaradossi.
