I think your guess about incese sticks might have been the reason for his astma is a reasonable one. Anytime I use them I imediately start feeling them in my breathing ways. And I ve been using them quite a lot during the years.

i wonder why He and Chagdud rinpoche's breathing is so strained? both of them. toxins from all tha tincense they breathed? or the dam red chinese poison/
