The Protestant Cemetery in Rome has for over two hundred years been the final resting place of the non-Catholic who died in Rome. Within its walls lie many of the great writers, poets and artists including John Keats and Percy Shelley. It was SHelly who called the cemetery "so sweet a place" when he buried his own infant son there, shortly before being interred there himself. But behind the classic beauty lies a very modern threat.
I love this place.
