  • I was at his number retiring game, no big deal

  • Niedermayer will have the honor to be the first ever Devils player and any other athlete to have their number retired at the Prudential Center. What a way to Christin the young arena.

  • 4 Stevens

    3 Daneyko

    27 Niedermayer

Only appropriate that the first three New Jersey Devils to have their numbers retired were defensemen. Nieds was a special player and it's great to see him get his due.

  • @brosfromothermthrs3 Well no doubt Brodeur was the best goalie who ever played in the NHL. But now you know after the injuries he's not at the top of his game. Hedburg might take us to the playoffs but I can't imagine a cup in the next 3 years, in other words once we get another goalie, we get another cup :D

  • Classic Nieds!

  • @Spraycan2312 Forgetting Brodeur?! Well I hope Larsson, Kovalchuk, and Parise can be keys to our next cups!

  • Was only around to see the end of Neid's career, but this guy, Scott Stevens, and maybe Elias have to be the Devil's key to their past cups, and maybe one this year :D

  • 12/16 jersey retired!

  • @hockeymaniac4444 Go to the game against the stars this year the devils are retiring #27, and rightly so.

  • I am so sad Scott left New Jersey and then retired, we could really use him right now
