This is a very famous point of geologic interest just a few kilometres west of Denver, Colorado. I made this video recording from the high wall of the Hogback Jurassic Park and Ride northwest of the road cut.
Even from this distance you can see the colorful layers of rock and sediments that were left behind millions of years ago - only to be tilted upward to create a "Hogback" that runs north and south along the west side of Denver. And, of course, these various layers weren't exposed until we started carving up the landscape with unnecessary highways. But, that's a whole other video rant!
Oh, the truck going backwards (at the beginning of the video) was a woman who had apparently run out of fuel and dumped a large can of gasoline into her tank before I got the camera going...
