Unboxing of my new Nexx X60 Vintage Helmet.

I wanted to put this out for anyone else who might be considering the helmet. When I bought my first one, about a year ago, I had a hard time finding reviews, pictures or videos of people actually wearing it, so I thought this might help others get a better idea of how it looks and fits.

I bought mine @ http://nexx-usa.com

Here's a review I found on webbikeworld too:
http://www.webbikeworld.com/r2/motorcycle-helmet/nexx-x60/

I have found the fit to be great, now that I have worn the size small for a couple rides. As stated in the video, the size small was a bit tight at first, but as it breaks in, I'm finding the fit absolutely great. I'd say their sizing chart is spot on.

Quality is superb as is the attention to detail, especially on the Vintage. The Vision model does not come with removable liner, and I find the "rubbery" finish "chips" too easily. I definitely recommend you go for the higher priced models and skip the cheaper Vision.

I will try to post another video later of me and my girl riding with the helmets on, so you get a better idea of how it looks as you ride.

  • Well my head size was on the borderline between medium and small. so I went for the medium first (I find their size chart spot on, btw).

The all-black one is a med. and the vintage is a small. I find the med, once broken in, fit pretty loose on my head, and is very noisy. The wind comes all the way in, although the longer shield helps a bit reducing the noise.

The Vintage, being small, fits pretty tight on my head, plus the removable liner seals very well around the ears and forehead. No noise

  • Do want... droll.

  • i would love to see you sitting on bike with this vintage.I want to buy that helmet, but no clue how it looks on my yamaha virago(also black and orange )

  • Thanks for your report! A couple of questions, please:

I realize that many factors- from the shape of one's head to the type of bike ridden, etc., etc., affect wind noise in a helmet, but in general, what are your thoughts about wind noise getting into your x60's?

Does the padding, etc., seal off the helmet pretty well- around the forehead, ears and back of the helmet? Also, is the longer shield more or less effective regarding wind noise?

    Thanks in advance!
