BBC World News: Martial Law declared in Maguindanao

President Gloria Arroyo has imposed martial law in the Philippines province of Maguindanao after the election-related massacre of 57 people. It is the first time martial law has been used in the country since the fall of autocrat Ferdinand Marcos in 1986. Senator Benigno Aquino, was quoted as opposing the move.

This opposition is not surprising considering Noynoy's indecisiveness and apparent lack of resolve in clamping down on warlords that was put to power and encouraged during his mother's term in office.

My point was that the boxes of ammo and weapons were labeled in Chinese/Korean, etc. The boxes labeled in English were A.) for the benefit of English speaking people B.) Supplied by English speaking people C.) Oliver North will testify about these boxes before congress also in hearings known as the Philippine Contra Hearings.

@haansgruber well English is used in the Philippine for decades.. so most sign, newspaper, etc. are English, and 95% of Filipinos Read English and comprehend

English is second National language..
