I start to breed them when they are 1 year old or once I know I have both male and female I start to breed them right away. Many wait untill they are 2 years old. I sometimes wait untill they are 2 years old.

If you look at them from up above you will see that the female will be more fat and fatter when full of eggs. Even if you look at them from the front of the glass you will see big difference.
